A class about what tools can ensure you have a good time onstage, at the audition, and working in the rehearsal room from day one. Caroline has been auditioning, rehearsing, and performing on a community and now professional level for more than 14 years. This class aims to offer young learners the opportunity to take their performance seriously (while being silly) and creating a warm up and a practice that suits them best! With individual focus and a respect for what tools work best for each unique performer, Caroline wants to equip your tool belt with exercises and actor homework that will fill you with the confidence to walk into your first day of rehearsal ready to play.

  • Character / Actor specific 15 minute warm up

  • Character diaries and how to create back story with scene partners

  • How to approach table work and be prepared

  • How to take apart a script and get to know the role of you character in the big picture

  • Your moment before and how to use it to create momentum in a scene

Solo Sorted

A program about how to make your monologue the most confident piece in your arsenal. This class will go in depth to a specific piece chosen by the performer that will show off their skill, their character, and what inspires them to be onstage. It can be tough to find a piece that works best for you, and Caroline will work with your young performer to find the monologue that makes their performance and personality shine. As a professional actor and longtime community performer, Caroline has prepared countless monologues and continues to audition and put herself on tape weekly! This class will be an opportunity to prep for auditions that only give you a few minutes to make yourself known, and hone the creativity and confidence it takes to walk into a room and know you can make the part yours!

  • How to select a suited to you and your skill monologue

  • Creating an active and engaging under 2 minute audition

  • How to keep a monologue new each time

  • Explore different approaches to a character and what will make the monologue uniquely yours

  • How to display range and confidence in one character while auditioning for another

  • An audition plan of what will make you feel your most playful and inspired before, during, and after the audition
