Our Showcase Performance Group is a class designed for students aged 8-14 who love to perform in musicals and who want more stage experience and training. 

​

Our first month will be spent fine tuning our acting and performance skills, learning about vocal technique and production in this genre, and building ensembleship and confidence. We then do auditions to cast our featured show for the year! The rest of the year will be spent working toward a fully staged musical in the spring. Our show will be complete with an audience, sets, costumes, props, tech, the works!

Those students chosen after auditions in Sept to play a featured role will be invited to stay for rehearsals for one hour following the above class times for more in depth scene and music work. Sometimes they will be needed for the full two hours, and other times they won't. Rehearsal schedules will be released ahead of time. For this group, there will be an additional fee of $100. This portion of the program is optional. Everyone who registers will be actively involved in the first 75 minutes of rehearsal during which we will focus on big group songs, choreography and scenes!

There will also be extra weekend rehearsals scheduled periodically in the winter and spring in preparation for our final performance.
